IMPORTANT INFORMATION
ABOUT ONLINE PAYMENT

Purchasing Sarkis' time: Online clients pay for services by purchasing units of my time. Each unit costs one dollar.

Commencing work:
After I confirm that you have paid, I'll timely work on your matter until the job is done or until you have expended the units you've purchased. Being an ethical attorney, I take seriously my good faith obligation to use your time efficiently. If you've expended all your units, you'll have to buy more units before I will continue working on your matter - unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.

My good faith estimate of charges to you: I'll sometimes be able to quote a flat fee for a particular service. If not, my fee will be calculated at a rate of $250 hourly. I'll give you a good faith estimate - but not a guaranty - of how much time I think it should take to complete your assignment. Note: each situation is unique with its own unpredictable variables; thus, it may be difficult or impossible to provide an accurate estimate of how much your matter will ultimately cost.

Persons I won't deal with via the Internet: I reserve the right to refuse legal services to anyone for any reason whatsoever. In addition, if your issue doesn't pertain to California law or if you're an unemancipated minor, sorry but I won't be able to help you.

Formation of an attorney-client relationships: This page is a offered as a convenience to clients who wish to pay bills online after formation of an attorney-client relationship. Use of this page does not in itself create an attorney-client relationship. For further information, click here.

Privacy issues: Internet e-mail is not inherently private and may be intercepted by third parties thereby compromising confidentiality. Also, it is conceivable that outlaws might attempt to capture sensitive financial or other information over the Internet. For this reason, I discourage e-mail communication unless the communication and any documents sent are encrypted or, at a minimum, password-protected using a prearranged password. If you feel you need to encrypt your document, you can either contact me by phone to prearrange a password for certain types documents you may wish to send or receive (e.g. Word, Excel, Acrobat), or you may use PGP encryption software. Find out more about PGP by clicking here. To see my PGP Public Key, click here.
